Here is more of that Steve Jobs neo-cubist portrait, from a few months back. It’s starting to look more interesting, don’t you think? Needs a lot more work. I can’t tell if you’re paying attention.

These swirled-paint textures were created as back-drops for a commercial HTML email system. You know, one of those "fancy emails" you get.

The bottom one was the back-drop for a holiday e-card. Mostly covered up by text, I put them here so you can see what they looked like.

A cell phone photo of da Vinci horse, in front of San Jose’s High Tech Museum. The artist never saw this full-scale design realized in his own day. Protracted design time, and later, a lack of war time bronze resources, scuttled the project.

Body art for a Salvador Dali art lover

Here’s a commission by a Dali artwork lover, who wrote, “I am sending this e-mail because i love the ants that u created using Dali’s. I want to make a tattoo using Salvador Dali’s signature mixed with just some ants.”

They’re supposed to send me a photo of what it looks like on their body.

neo-cubist face

This is a neo-cubist portrait of Steve Jobs that I have been working on-and-off for a few weeks. With reports of his death being greatly exaggerated, I feel like the image is burning a hole on my hard drive. So, here it is, a work in progress.

As we say, "the eyes are the window of the soul." They are also among the most important things for achieving an artistic likeness. So here’s what I think is intersting about this portrait: the eyes are made out of perfect circles (blue strokes).
