“Camera” Icon

This camera should play with your head a bit, if you look at it long enough.

I encourage those of you who are artists to break away from a slavish adherence to the vanishing points you learned about in art class, and which you can scarcely avoid using Photoshop and contemporary 3D graphics applications.

I scanned this from an old book, and then adjusted it, to the best of my memory.

To see what is going on here, I think you need to venture beyond the Internet and see this in person. This one lives at MoMA in New York City.

It took perhaps an instant for me to recognize the depth and fractured surfaces of this painting. It took perhas half a lifetime for me to produce anything cubist, that I cared to share with anyone.
